Unable to open the Amped extender’s Web Menu or dashboard through setup.ampedwireless.com login?

If you are facing issues while logging in to the Amped extender dashboard, or if login through setup.ampedwireless.com is not reaching you to the amped extender dashboard, you must try to troubleshoot following the steps here in order:

  • Ensure that you have connected your computer to the Amped Range Extender’s default Wi-Fi network that is Amped_REC10.
  • Try to login to the amped extender from a different web browser through setup.ampedwireless.com.
  • Alternatively, you can try to access the Amped extender web menu by trying to login to the amped extender through default IP address 192.168.1.240.
  • Reboot your Amped range extender by first Powering off the Range Extender and then reconnecting it to the power. Try amped extender login via setup.ampedwireless.com once again after rebooting.
  • Reset your amped Range Extender to the factory default settings by pressing and holding the factory Reset Button located on the back panel of the amped extender for about 10 seconds and then, try amped extender login via setup.ampedwireless.com once again.
  • If nothing above works to access web menu through setup.ampedwireless.com, you must disconnect your computer from all connected Wi-Fi networks and attach it to the amped extender through wired Ethernet cable connection. Follow it by accessing the web menu through setup.ampedwireless.com Amped extender login once again.

Now, you will be able to access the web menu through setup.ampedwireless.com, if still you are unable to, you must contact the technical support team at the given number.

             Establish home network:

  • Connect the modem and the WAN port of the router using an Ethernet cable.
  • Also, connect your desktop computer or laptop and to any one of the four internet ports of the router with an Ethernet cable for secured wired connection.
  • Turn off all the above three devices- computer, modem and the route and allow them to reboot and finish booting up.
  • Load a web browser on your device connected to a Wi-Fi network
  • Access http://setup.ampedwireless.com as the Amped extender login into the web address bar of the browser.
  • If you are unable to access web menu via setup.ampedwireless.com, try to access the web menu using the Amped extender login default IP address http://192.168.1.240 into your web address bar.

  • Enter amped extender login default username: admin and default login password: admin.
  • The Amped extender Setup Wizard will appear.
  • Click on the Begin Setup option to proceed with the Amped extender setup. The Setup Wizard guides you through the wireless internet connection settings configuration.
  • Click on the Automatic Configuration option to allow the configuration of the router wireless settings to be configured automatically to be extended by the amped extender.
  • Assign a new SSID (wireless Network Name) for your home router wireless network. You can also opt to change the settings later.
  • Once the Amped setup wizard is complete, a green check mark will be displayed.
  • The Amped Wireless router will be setup and you can connect your devices to the amped extender’s wireless network or new extended home network.

Amped extender Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS)

The WPS one-touch setup on any networking Wi-Fi device allows you to connect to the amped wireless range extender through WPS button as the Amped Range Extender supports all types of WPS setup – Push button and One-Touch Setup.

  • Press the WPS button on the Amped extender’s back panel for almost 3 seconds.
  • The WPS LED on the extender will begin to blink.
  • While the LED is blinking, push the WPS button on your wireless adapter.

Amped wireless extender firmware upgrade

Amped Wireless continuously updates the firmware for its products such a routers and range extenders in an effort to constantly improve their performance and user’s reliability. You must keep a continuous check on the Downloads page for your amped wireless range extender for any new firmware update available. You can either do it manually or automatically using the check button.

Amped extender Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS)

             Automatic firmware upgrade:

  • Load a web browser on your device connected to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Access http://setup.ampedwireless.com as the Amped extender login into the web address bar of the browser.
  • If you are unable to access web menu via setup.ampedwireless.com, try to access the web menu using the Amped extender login default IP address http://192.168.1.240 into your web address bar.
  • The login page for the amped extender opens up following setup.ampedwireless.com input.
  • Enter amped extender login default username: admin and default login password: admin.
  • On successful setup.ampedwireless.com login, the amped extender’s web based interface will appear.
  • Got o the More Settings tab.
  • Click on the Management option from the left side of the amped extender web menu.
  • Select the Firmware Update option for Amped wireless extender firmware upgrade.
  • Click on the Check Now option to search for any latest firmware update available for amped extender.
  • On finding a new firmware update, the firmware will be automatically updated through automatic firmware upgrade.
  • The amped wireless range extender will reboot following the firmware upgrade.

 Manual firmware upgrade:

  • Download the firmware file of the latest version of .bin file extension from the www.ampedwireless.com/support website and save it on your desktop.
  • Load a web browser on your device connected to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Access http://setup.ampedwireless.com as the Amped extender login into the web address bar of the browser.
  • If you are unable to access web menu via setup.ampedwireless.com, try to access the web menu using the Amped extender login default IP address http://192.168.1.240 into your web address bar.
  • The login page for the amped extender opens up following setup.ampedwireless.com input.
  • Enter amped extender login default username: admin and default login password: admin.
  • On successful setup.ampedwireless.com login, the amped extender’s web based interface will appear.
  • Go to the More Settings tab.
  • Click on the Management option from the left side of the amped extender web menu.
  • Select the Firmware Update option for Amped wireless extender firmware upgrade.
  • Click on the Choose File option and locate the downloaded and saved new firmware version file
  • Upload the file to begin Amped wireless extender firmware upgrade.

After the firmware has been upgraded, you can login to the amped extender via setup.ampedwireless.com using default login details if you have not personalized them to access the extender web menu for settings or whatever you want.

Note:

  • You must avoid downloading the firmware from any third party websites as they cause system functioning error.
  • It is highly advised to not to interrupt the firmware update process to prevent any damage to the extender because of corruption of firmware

Access Schedule on Amped wireless range extender

You can set a schedule for enabling or disabling your Wi-Fi – both Home Wi-Fi Network and the Extended Wi-Fi Network through the Access Schedule feature following the steps here:

  • Load a web browser on your device connected to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Access http://setup.ampedwireless.com as the Amped extender login into the web address bar of the browser.
  • If you are unable to access web menu via setup.ampedwireless.com, try to access the web menu using the Amped extender login default IP address http://192.168.1.240 into your web address bar.
  • The login page for the amped extender opens up following setup.ampedwireless.com input.
  • Enter amped extender login default username: admin and default login password: admin.
  • On successful setup.ampedwireless.com login, the amped extender’s web based interface will appear.
  • Go to the Smart Features on the left side of the web menu and select Wi-Fi settings.
  • Enable Access Scheduling by selecting the days and the time frame for which you want your Wi-Fi to be available.
  • Save your settings.

Enabling Access Scheduling will disable all internet access for wired connections as well on specified schedules – day and time.

Note: you must ensure that you have already configured your System Clock for your access schedule to work properly and accurately.

Enable Guest Network on amped extender network

Guest Network allow you to setup a separate Wi-Fi network for your guests with unique settings for extended Wi-Fi connectivity without providing them access to your main network.

  • Load a web browser on your device connected to a Wi-Fi network for amped wireless extender login.
  • Access http://setup.ampedwireless.com as the Amped extender login into the web address bar of the browser.
  • The login page for the amped extender opens up following setup.ampedwireless.com input.
  • Enter amped extender login default username: admin and default login password: admin.
  • On successful setup.ampedwireless.com login, the amped extender’s web based interface will appear.
  • Access the Smart Features located on the left side of the web menu.
  • Select Wi-Fi settings option.
  • Click on Security option and then Click on “Enable” to create a Guest Network access on the amped extender’s wireless network.
